The Covid-19 pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life worldwide and presents and unprecedented challenge to public health, food system and the world of work in our country, Prime Minister Narender Modi called on non-government organisations (NGO) to help the government by providing basic necessities to the underprivileged, by supplying medical and protective gear assisting with awareness campaigns on social distancing. In the wake of this deadly pandemic and the lockdown induced by it so, our first thought was about reaching the community and providing support and service, where the government is unable to reach out.
During the lockdown Choti si khushi reached out to more than 2,500 household families distributing food, relief material and basic hygiene kits for the families. Choti si Khushi with the help of South West Delhi Legal Service Authority(SWDLSA) made E-coupons primarily to distribute rations to all the families who are living in underprivileged areas and also organized a 3-day camp at the Sector-3 JJ Cluster of South west Delhi for
those who are facing problems in their society with the help of government bodies. We had a strong determination and passion to do something for our community who desperately needed the support which our organization was providing for all those who are struggling to survive in this pandemic due to lockdown. Choti si Khushi is also
grateful to Mr. Nishith Saxsena for his great support to us by delivering handmade cotton masks to the community who are highly at risk due to the crisis which left millions of people with unemployment and undergoing financial crisis they were not able to buy masks for their families. We also organized an awareness building programme to aware all the families with the topics like social distancing, sanitization, use of face masks and proper hygiene practices also spread awareness about the government guidelines during the lockdown period to protect their families from community spreading of the COVID-19 disease.
Choti si Khushi is very grateful for all the support from our volunteers and entities who have come forward in support of Covid-19 with all their open hearts and spreading happiness in every possible way to all those who are needy in this pandemic situation.
